I recently came across one of Adedamola Kolawole's stories where she talked about being in her friendship era. She described friendship in the most beautiful way anyone could wish for. It made me think about my journey with friendships and how it feels different for me.

Lately, I’ve found myself craving genuine connection—the kind that matches my energy, especially now when I could use all the encouragement in the world. But life has a way of teaching you hard lessons. Your “friend” might not always be there when you need them the most.

I can understand that everyone is busy and has excuses for being careless with friendships. But there are certain friends you expect to know better than to repay your gestures of friendship with neglect.

Maybe friendship isn’t reciprocal—only respect is. My bad!
